Privacy Policy
Updated: April 17, 2026

1. Data we collect
When you use Thai Bike we collect account details (name, email, phone), booking data (delivery city, dates, vehicle), verification documents (International Driving Permit, home licence), payment metadata (card brand, last four digits; we do not store full card numbers), and device signals like IP address and browser type. Marketplace chat messages and support tickets are stored for dispute resolution.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to confirm bookings, verify your right to ride in Thailand, process payments and refunds, respond to support requests, protect the marketplace from fraud, and improve our product. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure site performance. Non-essential cookies (analytics) load only where consent is required and granted. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregate traffic and product usage. IP addresses are anonymised by default. GA4 does not receive booking documents or payment data. You can opt out of GA4 collection with a browser-level extension or your cookie preferences.
5. Third parties
We share only the minimum data required with our hosting provider (Vercel), our payment processor, our analytics provider (Google), and the rental shop you book with (so the shop can prepare your rental and verify your IDP on delivery). Each partner operates under contractual data-protection obligations.
6. Data retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account is active and for up to seven years afterwards to meet Thai accounting and tax obligations. Verification documents are kept for the duration of the booking plus any active dispute period. You can request earlier deletion where law permits.
7. Your rights (GDPR / PDPA)
If you are in the EU, the UK, or Thailand you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to object to processing. Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are the controlling frameworks. To exercise a right, contact us using the link below.
8. Children's privacy
Thai Bike is not intended for anyone under 18, and you must be of legal age to hold a motorcycle licence in your home country to use the marketplace. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn of such data, we delete it.
9. International transfers
Thai Bike is operated from Thailand. When you book from another country, your data crosses borders to reach our servers and our partner shop. We rely on standard contractual clauses and the GDPR/PDPA adequacy framework to safeguard transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our product evolves. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the current effective date. Material changes are communicated in-app or by email to active accounts.
11. Contact
