1. Definitions

In these terms, "Thai Bike", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the Thai Bike marketplace operator. "You" and "rider" refer to the customer booking a rental. "Shop" refers to the independent Thai rental business listing vehicles on the marketplace. "Vehicle" covers every scooter or motorbike available to book through thai-bike.com or the Thai Bike mobile app.

2. Scope of service

Thai Bike operates an online marketplace that connects riders with verified independent rental shops across six Thai cities. We do not own or operate the vehicles. Each rental contract is concluded directly between you and the shop; Thai Bike facilitates discovery, payment, IDP verification, and dispute mediation.

3. User obligations

You agree to hold a valid motorcycle licence from your home country, hold a matching International Driving Permit, wear a certified helmet at all times, obey Thai traffic law, and never ride under the influence. You agree to upload authentic documents to the app and to return the vehicle in the condition recorded on delivery.

4. Shop obligations

Every partner shop warrants that each listed vehicle is roadworthy, under two years old, insured under the statutory Por Ror Bor policy, and supplied with a certified helmet. Partner shops agree to the Thai Bike no-passport deposit policy, verify rider IDP on delivery, and document vehicle condition with photos at delivery and return.

5. Payment

Rental fees are charged to your payment method at the time of booking. Refundable security deposits are collected in person on delivery by the shop and handled by card hold or cash, never by holding your passport. The app displays every charge and the exact deposit in Thai baht before checkout.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the booked delivery are refunded in full. Cancellations inside the 24-hour window but before delivery may be subject to a partial charge. If a shop cancels a confirmed booking, Thai Bike refunds the full amount and rebooks you with another verified partner at no additional cost.

7. Liability and disclaimers

Riding a motorcycle carries inherent risk. To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, Thai Bike is not liable for injury, death, or property damage arising from rider conduct, road conditions, or third-party acts. Shop-level insurance and any optional Collision Damage Waiver are the primary sources of cover for vehicle damage.

8. Intellectual property

All content on thai-bike.com and the Thai Bike app - including photography, editorial copy, illustrations, logos, and code - is owned by Thai Bike or its licensors and is protected by Thai and international copyright law. You may link to the site; you may not reproduce content without permission.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Disputes that cannot be resolved by support mediation are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bangkok, Thailand.

10. Changes to these terms

Thai Bike may update these terms from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page always reflects the current effective date. Continued use of the marketplace after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
